The Stone Roses formed in the mid 1980’s and they became the preeminent member of the Manchester psychedelic rave scene in the late 1980’s to early 1990’s. Songs such as Fool’s Gold, I Wanna Be Adored and Elephant Stone vaulted them massive success in the UK and worldwide success soon followed. Their debut album is widely regarded as a classic and helped give momentum to many other Brit Pop acts, such as Oasis and Blur, to worldwide success in the early 1990’s. Sadly their success was brief, as a lengthy lawsuit against their record label prevented the Stone Roses from releasing any new music in the early 1990’s. This killed the momentum that the Stone Roses had built up with their debut album and they disbanded soon after the release of their second full length album. Still the Stone Roses have a developed a legacy that will last for decades – I love them as much as I love having Manchester incalls with beautiful girls.
